gwelland Posted April 28, 2010 Share #221 Posted April 28, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I also believe it is really unfortunate that the M9 doesn't have LiveView or Leica doesn't have for sale another convenient tool so that folks with imperfect eyesight could easily determine whether a camera/lens combination operates within rangefinder accuracy specs. The rangefinder aspect seems to offer great benefits but also causes tremendous frustration when not working properly. K-H. I agree - it's a very frustrating exercise. The $300 I spent getting my M9 and all lenses tested & calibrated together is the best investment I've ever spent on Leica gear. Without exception. thrice Posted August 19, 2010 Share #226 Posted August 19, 2010 Thanks to Julian for the instructions, I received a 75 cron today and thought the lens was out until I carefully checked all my lenses. One concern though, I now have the focusing arm as short as it can go and everything is spot on... Is it possible that wear and tear will introduce the need for an even longer focus throw? Oh well, I'll probably send the camera with lenses to Sherry after I get back from New Zealand and can afford to be without the camera for a month or so. My M9 has had zero problems at all, but I have no idea what % of these cameras are like mine. Maybe I'll start a problem-free M9 thread. ;-) Larry (this is a great camera!)
