wetworx Posted January 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) i'm thinking about getting an early (1970?) Leica-R 35mm Summicron, but wanted to know first how it compares against the Contax Carl Zeiss 35mm f/2.8. I know with the Leica I''ll have one more stop, and I do shoot low-light, but I can accept the compensation in shutter or ISO. The price is the big factor, the Leica is about double the Zeiss. So which do you recommend? thanks!
Advertisement Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Hi wetworx, Take a look here CZ 35/2.8 vs Leica R 35/2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dave_d Posted January 29, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 29, 2010 Does Zeiss make lenses in a Leica R mount?
wetworx Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted January 29, 2010 it's actually for a Canon 5DmkII, which there are plenty of adapter mounts for =) (surprisingly enough the only real lenses which one would find difficult are their own FD mounts)
earleygallery Posted January 30, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 30, 2010 The Summicron 35 R is a legendary lens, you wouldn't be disappointed with it.
