nmartin7 Posted January 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear Leica fans I'm also one ! As I said I'm huge fun of Leica for years ... Mostly I was using digilux models and now I decided to go for film camera. My goal is M6 ( not ttl model ) and one 35mm or 50mm ... I need advice about M6, what to look ( because I can buy only used one ), should I be aware of something, and which is the best solution for used one. Of course, lens is another thing ... I would go for used one mostly because of price. My budget is for now 1500 euro ... is it possible to get decent M6 with some not expencive used lens for that ? Advertisement Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Hi nmartin7, Take a look here M6 advice ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted January 27, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 27, 2010 Welcome. You don't say where you are but there is a list of dealers on the Leica website. I'd start by searching those. You should be able to find a nice M6 and lens for your budget, possibly even a 35 Summicron. Also consider the later model 50mm Elmar which is a collapsible lens and makes for a nice compact set. Just depends on your personal preference. The TTL model only differs by having TTL flash capability - both have TTL metering so its a little confusing. I would suggest buying from a dealer with a warranty rather than risking it on ebay, or look at the buy/sell forums here.
