geesbert Posted January 25, 2010 Share #21 Posted January 25, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) here I am a 100% professional photographer, using canons for 95% of my work with the Leica M9 for about 5%, but it is growing. as long as there is no real support for tethered shooting, I can't see myself using it in a big production. At least the M9 files are good and big enough for advertising, the M8 files never cut it, especially when I was trying to use them besides the Canon files. they were nearly impossible to match. it is a different story for editorial work, though... Advertisement Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Hi geesbert, Take a look here M9 for business or pleasure?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Samir Jahjah Posted January 25, 2010 Share #22 Posted January 25, 2010 Was just wondering what proportion of M9 owners here are using the camera professionally (ie making money) vs those of us (like myself) who just like to take photos for fun. I am addicted to my photography hobby...with pleasure.

tdtaylor Posted January 25, 2010 Share #24 Posted January 25, 2010 Pleasure, but as a design professional I use cameras in my work quite a bit, and with the M9 I expect will start pushing the Nikons to the side.

KM-25 Posted January 25, 2010 Share #27 Posted January 25, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am not getting an M9 until next year, after I am finished with the project I am working on. But the Leica gear I do use is for 100% pure pleasure just like the rest of my gear. And when they tell me to invoice them, I say, "Sure, thanks, the pleasure is all mine". adan Posted January 26, 2010 Share #33 Posted January 26, 2010 @ brill64 - some guy who got pissed at a neighbor's dog, tied it to the back of his pickup, and dragged it to death through the Colorado National Monument (failing to realize that the Monument had video surveillance of the road entry, thereby catching his vehicle in the act.) Man arrested in dog-dragging death P.S. Tip appreciated. A trip over fits in with some story research I need to do in Nucla, anyway. Thanks.
