glenerrolrd Posted January 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) While the M9 has the new capability to rename the folder that collects images on your sdhc card , it doesn t seem to take any changes to the continuous numbering. The file always start with L000-xxxx. This is a problem waiting to happen if you use two bodies. The technique used on the M8 ..rename the folder in you card reader does not work on the M9. (or at least it hasn t for me). I know you can work around this by creating a new image number as you import ...but this requires that you process the files before you back them up or expose yourself software potentially modifying your files . This problem was noted on the S2 but I have not heard about it on the M9. Nor have I found an effective work around. Likewise the date format doesn t carrying thru to the raw files...change it in the menu and it doesn t work.

jaapv Posted January 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2010 Folder renumbering worked flawlessly on my M9 The files all start with L300xxxxx now. Did you follow the system for the M8? The M9 works the same.
