photolandscape Posted January 20, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 20, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday I tried to put one of my 3 batteries in the compartment of my M9. It wouldn't go in, and seemed to get hung up at the point where the battery and camera's electrical contacts started to come together. The other two batteries are fine and can be inserted easily. I checked the troublesome battery, and it looks like one of the tiny wire contacts may be slightly bent out of position. Anyone else had this problem, and if so, could you fix it? I really would be peeved to have to recycle on otherwise good, and very expensive, Leica battery.

carbonadam Posted January 20, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2010 I would not dick around with a bad battery and risk damaging the camera. Toss it out and get a new one.
ethranet Posted January 20, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 20, 2010 Try using something very thin, like an x-acto/scalpel knife blade to bend it back into place. If it looks like the others gently insert it into the camera and see if it works.
