Is there somewhere one can get info as to the quality or comparative quality (tests and reviews) of these lenses?
Advertisement Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Hi jjonsalt, Take a look here Lens tests and reviews. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted January 20, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2010 Leica, Zeiss and Voigtlander all make lenses in the "M" mount. Is there somewhere one can get info as to the quality or comparative quality (tests and reviews) of these lenses? Best bet is to subscribe (very small annual fee) to Sean's site...Welcome to ReidReviews If you search this forum, you'll find this recommendation repeated often. Sean is a working photographer, so the information is both comprehensive and practical. Besides the reviews, you'll get some great essays on photography and art. lars_bergquist Posted January 20, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 20, 2010 I'll second that. I might add that though Sean's reviews are very practical, he understands scientific method well enough to apply consistent, systematic tests, comparing apples to apples, instad of pouring out subjective fuzz, like some other good people. But don't worry. Sean does not produce graphs or numbers, but things you can see. And that is a valid approach, because the first rule in photography is that what counts, is what you see. Overgaard Posted January 20, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 20, 2010 I would also check Steve Huff Photos - Real World Digital Camera And Lens Reviews where you'll see Leica, Zeiss and Voigtlander alongside.
