davidmires Posted December 9, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 9, 2006 Very nice, it looks a bit like a painting. What film?
leicamann Posted December 9, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted December 9, 2006 David..thanks. I do lots of painting, oils, pastels and watercolors..so that influence naturally sinks into the photography. its the new Fuji S400, exposed for 2 minutes mit tripod und remote release und sie R8 und der R 28mm F2.8 Elmarit. Scanned using the Microtek Axtixscan 4000tf,Silverfast Ai and then reduced for web. I must add that I am at this moment very disappointed with all the particles and crud found on the negs, this was done at a pro lab, it took me more that 30minutes of PS work to clean it up. I do my own B&W negs, alawys fresh dev and fix...strict about the water and cleanliness..because when print silver prints.. no Photoshop will help you, so its good to get it right and clean.. Anyhow this is all got me thinking about getting a JOBO and doing my own color dev work. Regards, Leicamann
stuny Posted December 9, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 9, 2006 John - Beautiful! The light, lights, reflection, and (as David points out) painting-like quality are excellent. BTW: Is the horizon tilted a bit down on the left, or is it an optical illusion from the land mass on the right and the arc of the bridge?
martinop Posted December 9, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 9, 2006 This night scene perspective i.e DOF and breadth + the colors & reflections in the water are appealing.
harmsr Posted December 9, 2006 Share #6 Posted December 9, 2006 John, Another beautiful one. The reflections with their shape, length, and color are fascinating. Thanks for sharing. Ray
