Hill202 Posted January 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm having trouble finding this grip in stock any where. Does any one have a link to a possible dealer that has the grip in stock? Thanks
Advertisement Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Hi Hill202, Take a look here DL 4 hand grip. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Panamera_S Posted January 16, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2010 I was at Samys Camera in Los Angeles two days ago and they have a hand grip available for the D-Lux 4. There are quite a few store that do have it in stock in the US, try searching on Google.

John Z. Goriup Posted January 16, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 16, 2010 Permit me to call your attention to an after-market grip which I found to be much better suited than the original Leica unit. The factory grip is expensive, not really all that effective or comfortable, and has to be removed to change battery and / or access memory card. Go to Richard Franiec's Camera Accessories and scroll to Panasonic / leica re ordering and details. Here's what it looks like on the camera. Under $30.00, does not have to be removed, anodized aluminum, user installed......what's not to like You're welcome JZG Welcome, dear visitor! Hill202 Posted January 16, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted January 16, 2010 I'm not sure that I like the idea of attaching something with glue to my camera.
symmetron Posted January 16, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 16, 2010 I purchased Franiec's grip and it is excellent. It's also removable and won't affect the finish; it uses tape not anything caustic. Prior to purchasing this grip, I tired the Leica grip....too small, too cumbersome (remove it to get to the bottom of the camera), and too pricey. Go with the Franiec...if you don't like it, sell it on ebay...it's a steal at $30.

Ed_K Posted January 17, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 17, 2010 The official grip is also available at Vistek's homepage, and i think i also spot it displayed at Merkle Camera in uptown Toronto.

clinchico Posted January 17, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 17, 2010 I ordered a Leica Handgrip for my D-lux 4 from Vistek in Toronto and I am still waiting for it after 3 weeks. It says on there web-site 1 in stock, but that is not the case. I hope that helps to a degree. Herb
lagrassa Posted January 18, 2010 Share #11 Posted January 18, 2010 I guess none of these grips, Leica or aftermarket, allow you to put the camera in its case with the grip attached?
mikej Posted January 18, 2010 Share #12 Posted January 18, 2010 Leica has an eveready case eveready made specifically for the DL-4 with the factory hand grip installed. I got my grip and case from Tony Rose at PopFlash. Cheers, Mike Welcome, dear visitor! zenonzinonos Posted January 18, 2010 Share #13 Posted January 18, 2010 I guess none of these grips, Leica or aftermarket, allow you to put the camera in its case with the grip attached? The Franiec grip fits into the case which comes with the camera comfortably - I'm not sure about the Leica grip.
