London Meetings

I keep meaning to bring this up and forgetting but, as I am confined to barracks and bored, now is a good time.

For sometime I have been thinking about whether the "London Leica Louts" should have a regular meeting every three months, on say the last Saturday of the month. This would give us all plenty of notice and, especially for the dedicated members who come from the far flung corners of the realm, time to book tickets/plan their journey.

It would allow those who cannot join the ad hoc/short notice meet ups a chance to get to a regular meet. If you don't think it a good idea then say so but it might make planning for those who have problems with short notice meets to attend at least a couple of times a year.

I would propose the last Saturday in:

  • March (27th) - weather may be improving!!!
  • June (26th) - before everyone starts holidays and schools break up.
  • September (25th) - no reason.
  • December (18th) - the last Sat is Christmas Day plus we will have the New Year meet the usual time.

Thoughts if any .......

Sounds like a good idea, Andy, plus there's room for additional meetings for those who are interested for regular events like Chinese New Year, the Lord Mayor's Parade etc.

Might I respectfully suggest Greenwich as a venue for the March 27th meeting?

Pete.

Hi

I'm advised that Sunday the 14th is the best day for CNY celebs.

So I'll be at Leicester Sq tube station, from 09:45 till 10:15, long hair, Canon P with CV classic 35mm and Crumpler G Bag, my Leica too slow to reload.

Please PM me your mobile and I'll echo mine, in case of transport diff on Sundays.

Curry in Veg Hindu style place in Drummond Street apres, for gluttons.

Noel
