semrich Posted December 8, 2006 Share #1 Â Posted December 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is not an especially great photo. It was taken with the M8, noctilux, 640, handheld at 1/350, however at a 100% view (sorry I don't yet know how to do a 100% crop) you can make out the shape of people on the outside observation deck and fine detail of the tower. It is an example of the detail that one can get with this camera lens combination. Â Thanks for looking

Flaugi Posted May 8, 2007 Share #2  Posted May 8, 2007 Hi Richard  Thank you for this picture. I find it always interesting to see M8 shots, and you give us your experience. I´m thinking about buying a M8, too, but I´m not sure because of some bad reports.  By the way, I have an Empire State Building picture in the German Forum "Landschaft & Reise". Title: Schatten des Empire State Building (Shadow of the ESB).  Kind regards from Austria Thomas
azzo Posted May 8, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted May 8, 2007 Richard, Â I would not crop this image. Very nice composition as it is. Lovely detail and framing. Â Azzo
Flaugi Posted May 9, 2007 Share #4  Posted May 9, 2007 Hello Richard  I was not sure whether I should like your picture or not. Does the tree avoid the view to the ESB? Was it a good idea to cut the street? My final answer is yes. I looked several times to your photo, so it must be attractive. It fits to a "normal" view when you look to such a building without a camera. And the tree gives a "life-touch" to your picture.  Thomas
