AlbertoDeRoma Posted January 16, 2010 Share #5 Posted January 16, 2010 Hi Matt, First, hello from another big Strat fan. In the spirit of constructive feedback rather than criticism (we are all trying to help each other) I have to admit that I have a hard time finding an area that's in sharp focus. The lack of it keeps my eyes wandering all over the picture looking for a focal point for the picture. Is this intentional? Alberto P.S. I also took several pictures of my strat, and it was not as easy as I thought to come up with a great shot and I plan to do a few more sessions as I learn more and gain experience. John Thawley Posted January 25, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 25, 2010 Hi Matt: Like Alberto, I'm also struggling with these. While I can locate the focus center, neither make a "point." It's a nice demonstration and lesson portraying shallow depth of field. Perhaps fixing on the center pick-up might have told more... shooting through the strings etc. might have stacked and stepped the progression. Technically, good work though.
