2Bébèrt Posted January 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is it possible to use R lenses, in this case a Telyt 400, on my Visoflex III + M9 combo? I know the best thing is to look for a Telyt with a Visoflex M mount but could this also work with the R to M adaptor nr 22228 ?? Any experiance, anyone? Advertisement Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Hi 2Bébèrt, Take a look here Telyt 400/6,8 R-mount to Visoflex. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted January 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 8, 2010 The 22228 is made to fit a Leica R lens on a M body - directly, not with a Visoflex attached, so it isn't a viable solution for a long Telyt : no way to focus apart infinity. Remember that the thickness of M body + Viso II/III is GREATER than R body, so in general a R lens can not be adapted for Visoflex (while Visoflex lenses can be mounted on R, and a proper accessory did exist). Which kind of 400 is yours ? If it is a f 5,6 version I think the only way is to have the proper "Televit" unit (code 14136) : the 5,6 Telyts were made of 3 units : Televit (with handle) - diaphragm unit - lens unit, and only the first is different from R to Viso version. A quick surf made me find one available here : http://www.foto-hobby.de/fhr-e/leica-various-used-items/leica-spare-parts/leica-televit-m-spare-part.html Which can mean is not an impossible item to find. The 400 & 560 f 6,8 are made in a different assembly , 2 parts only : focusing unit and lens unit (this one is the same for R and V version) : at the moment I do not remember exactly if the focusing units were separately coded... but I am sure that my 400 6,8 has a Viso mount at its end, with an adapter that allows to mount it also on R body. telewatt Posted January 8, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 8, 2010 You have to find the "Visoflex-focusing unit" only....but it is not so easy!... the code was 11905 for the focusing unit 11903 for the head (lens) and 11966 for the complet unit "Visoflex" regards, Jan

2Bébèrt Posted January 8, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted January 8, 2010 Thank you both for the fast and good advice on this subject. It probable also explains the reasonable price of the lens unit. I'll scout the internet for the proper Telyt or Televit that will fit my Visoflex.
