michali Posted January 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) After a flurry of some heated posts from users waiting impatiently and in some cases agitatedly for M9 deliveries, I've noticed that it's all gone relatively quiet here. Have M9 deliveries picked up? Or is everyone on holiday? Just curious..........
Advertisement Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Hi michali, Take a look here What's happened to all the M9 waiting lists?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Yojimbo Posted January 4, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2010 I'm still waiting on my M9, don't know when, the Leica dealer (Jakarta) here didn't receive any delivery yet, not even ONE... I'm 40th on the waiting list, order since 2nd week of November Sad....
stealthman_1 Posted January 4, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 4, 2010 I should be 2nd on my local list. Ordered with deposit, October 31st. February is probable.

d2mini Posted January 4, 2010 Share #5 Posted January 4, 2010 I think a lot of the hooting and hollering was from those (myself included) hoping to get their camera 1. Before the holidays, and 2. From B&H who were originally saying only a 2 week wait when ordered on Nov 20. B&H was a couple weeks late, but they pulled through for me on both accounts. Deliveries did seem to pick up quite a bit during the last couple weeks of December, too.
chuckw Posted January 4, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 4, 2010 I'm still on a wait list with Dale in the US (the same Dale that advertises on this forum). I have not complained or indicated impatience because I don't see that doing so will get my M9 built or shipped any faster! On the plus side, maybe by the time I get mine a new firmware update will already have been implemented.
glasscain Posted January 5, 2010 Share #7 Posted January 5, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Still waiting.. I think Canada (or at least vistek) is getting the shaft from Leica. They tell me they have yet to receive even one copy of the grey M9.

ttliem Posted January 5, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 5, 2010 Prepaid for one black and one gray M9 in November from B&H. I received a black M9 in late December. The gray model is still on back order.
michali Posted January 5, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted January 5, 2010 It all sounds incredibly frustrating, I really feel for everyone here. I can understand someone who ordered in November still being on a waiting list but it doesn't make sense that someone who ordered in September is still waiting. That's ridiculous! It's understandable that Leica can only produce X number of cameras and that demand has exceeded supply and expectations etc. etc. Isn't it up to the dealer to get onto Leica and chase up orders that have been outstanding for over 4 months? I'm quite sure that unless this happens Leica is in no position to know that there are people out there waiting for an M9 since September. A friend of mine in France, also waiting since September, got his dealer to get on the phone and email to Leica repeatedly and eventually got his M9 in early December. jsrockit Posted January 5, 2010 Share #12 Posted January 5, 2010 Giving up ... moving on ... to something else that's in stock and more fun. What could be more fun (unless you mean something other than a camera)?
cheewai_m6 Posted January 6, 2010 Share #13 Posted January 6, 2010 i'm not sure whether leica has control of where each camera goes once it goes to the country. is there a distributor that allocates which dealer(s) get how many cameras? i can't imagine leica knowing any specific order from a country, state or city. would they? anyone? doronski Posted January 6, 2010 Share #15 Posted January 6, 2010 I was told a couple of days ago I was 7th on the B and H waiting list for a Black M9. I ordered it on the 25th. Told that the 50mm Lux could take longer. I was 22nd I think just before Xmas, if that is any indication. Doron
