Tony Smith Posted January 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a R3 safari camera with the 28mm and 50mm Summilux safari lenses. From time to time these with the 50mm Summicron and 180mm Elmar safari lenses come up at auction but never safari mark 2 35mm Elmarits. Yet Laney and Putts in their books mentions that some were made. Does anyone know if any exist and if so where they are! Thanks

Thanks Just to complete your information on the Safari sets : I used to have a truly complete set in my Fontenelle collection, including, next to the body : the Safari binoculars, the 28 and 35 mm Elmarits, two different Summicron 50 (removable and extensible shades), two different Summilux 50 (same as 'crons) and the 180 mm Elmar. Plus the Safari soft case for the body, the binoculars and three lenses. Unfortunately, I have no idea about location of these 30+ years old items.
