jaapv Posted January 1, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had my doubts about really long lenses on the M9, as I had a suspicion there might be corner problems, due to the microlens shift and electronic corrections. Pleasantly surprised to find no problems - Noflexar 400. This is the whole frame uncropped. (normally I would have cropped a bit) Manual exposure is needed, as the M9 has the same trick of extreme overexposure on some shots that the M8 has. Welcome, dear visitor! adan Posted January 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2010 Regarding manual exposure - isn't that a given with a Visoflex (I am assuming Visoflex for a 400)? I can't see a regime where autoexposure could ever be used, due to the mirror blocking light from getting to the meter if one tried to use straight AE or even AE lock. giordano Posted January 2, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 2, 2010 Regarding manual exposure - isn't that a given with a Visoflex (I am assuming Visoflex for a 400)? I can't see a regime where autoexposure could ever be used, due to the mirror blocking light from getting to the meter if one tried to use straight AE or even AE lock. The idea seems to be to adjust the Visoflex release lever so the mirror goes up a bit early, leaving a moment for the AE to make up its mind. I'd rather use manual and have a shorter shutter lag. Jaap, Did you try the soft mode, removing the memory lock option ? Lucien
