Guest leicaphotos Posted December 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) it's certainly a different experience - it was a foggy morning and we went around town -- experimenting with a few of my lenses and my friend's -- should have pictures soon - he's emailing them to me Did not like the smaller patch compared with my m4-p and m5 - wasn't thrilled with the crop factor he had it set to make the pseudo film advance sounds which i really didn't care for - loved the renditions on some of my vintage lenses some nice texture -- liked the metering was different, but fun - I wouldn't spend $2000 for one - maybe a grand - still don't think the experience was enough to consider converting over will post pics asap
Advertisement Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Hi Guest leicaphotos, Take a look here Borrowed an m8 for the morning. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Nicoleica Posted December 31, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2009 he had it set to make the pseudo film advance sounds which i really didn't care for - I think you'll find that those were the real sounds of gears whirring, and springs springing. It's somewhat startling at first, but you soon get used to them. I'm glad that you enjoyed the results, and the experience.

ottocrat Posted December 31, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 31, 2009 The crop factor, well you just get used to it. It's not worse, it's not better, it's just different. The 'pseudo film advance sounds' were in your imagination, there are none, only the sound of the shutter closing and cocking. Be interesting to see your reaction to the photos themselves!
