Pecole Posted December 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Recently, in the German equivalent of this Forum, a prototype of the Leica CL bearing a "MC" engraving has been illustrated. I think interesting to publish here three of the many pixes I took in the 1980s of the collection of CL prototypes (bodies and lenses) owned by Georg Mann, former Leitz technician and then President of the Leica Historica association. Some bodies are engraved MC or CM, and Mr Mann explained that the name contemplated during the CL development had been "M Compact" or "Compact M". Here are the pixes. If you want more, let me know.
