Guest Bernd Banken Posted December 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi folks, from a friend I got two SX70s. One in white/crème without autofocus and one in black with a running sonar-focus. As I remeber well these cams only work with a filmpack inserted which includes always a fresh battery. Then in the black one is a pack because the cam focuses well. But I'm not able to open and no pic comes out after pressing the button. Am I right? Thanks for infos! Cheers Bernd
Advertisement Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi Guest Bernd Banken, Take a look here Polaroid SX 70. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jpattison Posted December 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 23, 2009 Correct! If there are no more shots left in a pack, the battery will keep the camera functions going. found this... about half way through it show how to insert new pack. eckart Posted December 23, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi Bernd, if you don't have a SX-70 film you also can use a Type 600. The only problem is, that they have a higher sensibility.and you have to turn the "Dark/Light-wheel" totally to the dark or you put a two f-stops taking ND in front of the lens. I use this case a Polfilter. If you need any help, there has opened a Polaroid-Shop in Berlin and they still sell films. After lunch I traced this shop and ordered 2 packs of b/w and color packs. Let's pray that at least one camera will work...... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! cmatter Posted December 23, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 23, 2009 Question... how much longer will SX-70 (or any Polaroid) film be available? Is there a Fuji equivalent to it ?? I had a lovely 180 Land camera and an even more lovely 4Designs 110B conversion that I sold last year. I still have a couple of SX-70's sitting around that I'd like to play with from time to time.. rjans Posted December 23, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) New film will be available next year, see The Impossible Project. First they will release B/W, later color film. Best
mingmac Posted December 27, 2009 Share #8 Posted December 27, 2009 I think the Impossible Project actually already started for a while. Urban Outfitters already has Polaroid 779 film for sale that you can use with Sx-70.
