steve70 Posted December 23, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some of us computer challenged individuals my profit, and would be willing to shell out a few $$ for a "Hands on" instructional DVD that would cover, slowly, all of the major functions of the Camera. In the old days you just opened up the bottom plate, inserted film, made sure that the film caught on the spool, wound the film to "No.1", set the ASA on you meter and you were ready to go. No need for a degree in computer sciences. And manuals can get rather confusing. It would be sort of like OJT instructions, On the Job Training. Any comments? Advertisement Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hi steve70, Take a look here How bout an instructional DVD for "Hands on" ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Marty Posted December 23, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 23, 2009 A noble idea for sure. But if you can post here then you are not entirely computer illiterate And a digital M is just about the easiest camera there is in terms of functions. There just isn't much to cover. All the steps you took for film are still valid, minus the film! Have you thought about visiting a Leica dealer and going through some essentials? jaapv Posted December 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 23, 2009 Basically the operation of the camera is totally straightforward, especially for users of film M cameras. It seems to me that you would benefit more from CDs, books and workshops about the digital aspects of photography, that are not neccessarily related to Leica. There are plenty of those to be found on the Internet. I personally recommend the books and site of Scott Kelby (if you can stand his feeble jokes )
steve70 Posted December 23, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted December 23, 2009 I Think you folks missunderstood me. What I meant was an instructional DVD not on how to use the camera per se, but on the moltitude of features that can be exploited.
