Male, 73, First Leica 2-01-07, M8 - 50 Summilux, 35 Summilux and boy is this fun!

First camera 1952, I think a Zeiss ??, then many Nikons, switched to digital in early 2004 and havn't gone back.

I learned a lot from Guy and many others in this forum!

Thanks

Hello All,

Just discovered this thread. Belated birthday wishes for Guy.

Male, 76. Leica II/Hektor 50 / 2.5 received as a present from my dad in the 1940ties. Subsequently IIIf -sold for IIIg + Leicxavit w. rigid Summicron 50- . Added M2, M3, M4, M5 (several and I love the camera because its meter lets me judge exposure more easily than the M6 and MP). Added M7 and since a couple of weeks M8, which I am now experimenting with. Also have a R8 and R9 but no DMR.

This sounds just like the Porsche Boards for 911's...male, late 40's. Something about finely crafted German engineering that becons our hard-earned disposable/discretionary income.

I'm 52 and have enjoyed the Leica (M8) experience for 2 weeks now. I am afflicted with Guy's lens addiction though. (#4 coming today from Tony Rose, #5 next week...)

Male, age 60. My first camera was a second hand Exacta in 1960. I've been using Leicas since 1968 (an early M4). Currently have an M6, M7, M8, an RD1 and a Nikon D2X (rarely used). Favorite camera continues to be a toss-up between the M8 and RD1.

Lenses I use are a Voightlander 12, Elmarit-M 21mm ASPH, Elmarit-M 24mm ASPH, Summicron-M 28 f2 ASPH, Summilux-M 35mm f1.4, Noctilux-M 50 f1, Elmar-M 50mm f2.8. I almost always use the 21mm, 28mm or the Noctilux. Occasionally the 12mm for architectural interiors (with a bit of Photoshop pincushion adjustment).
