Advertisement Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Hi delnerdo, Take a look here 100 Days since 090909. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jsrockit Posted December 19, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2009 Yes, some M9s have showed up and the X1 is the most hated camera on the market. lol.
c6gowin Posted December 19, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 19, 2009 Yes, some M9s have showed up and the X1 is the most hated camera on the market. lol. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case around here lately. I'm not too worried about what others think because some of us are going to buy one anyway. markpsf Posted December 19, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 19, 2009 When there is that much of an emotional response by individuals, way out of proportion to rational analysis, it always says more about them then the object (or person!) being bashed. I think for some it is displaced disillusionment. Having created a mythical idealized image of what it would be and of course never could be and now disappointed, they rip into the object (or person). What a waste of time and energy. I'm looking forward to working/playing with the real thing, warts and all. Mark
jsrockit Posted December 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 19, 2009 I like the X1, but I don't think the expectations for this camera were mythical at all. You just expect the best when you get a Leica which costs twice as much as comparable cameras. There is nothing wrong with being critical when you are spending your money on an item. It is a consumer good, not a person. It has no feelings.

delnerdo Posted December 22, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted December 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) FWIW, 100 days was enough for me to get over the X1 infatuation and waitlisted for the M9 (sigh).
