sbsatv Posted December 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am having a problem trying to get a working self timer for my MP (contemporary model). I have two separate APDOO/OZTNO sets, neither of which seem to work with my MP. I have tested both timers which seem to work on an LTM camera, the OZTNO's both work on the MP, but you have to push them all the way down (really far) However when I try the APDOO/OZTNO combination on the MP there are problems, sometimes it works if I force the whole unit downwards on the camera with my hand. Also I tried the OZTNO's with an LTM cable release and that doesn't appear to work either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Philippe D. Posted December 18, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 18, 2009 Hello. I have two separate APDOO/OZTNO sets, neither of which seem to work with my MPI have the same combination which works very well on a M2 and a M4-P. I had a try on the MP, it doesn't work, even after having adjusted the trigger length of the APDOO. I guess the way is far too long on the MP, the trigger of the OZTNO is too short. Even with a cable release it's useless.
luigi bertolotti Posted December 18, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 18, 2009 It is probably not of much help, but one day I saw an APDOO which was screwable upon one end of a std. cable release, in lieu of the usual push-trigger,,, probably they used a "hand made" male screw fitted to the cable's end... don't remember (neither asked about) the details... the APDOO looked un-modified.
