Clandrel Posted December 16, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I just bought an M8. Beautilful and all, I can't see where the files are going when I connect it to my mac. Where does the "Leica Disc" appear? Also, I can't start the Captire One program. It starts but forcequits. (see pic, it's in norwegian, but maybe you'll get the idea). Does any of this had to do with the Snow Leopard update I have (10.6.2)?? Advertisement Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Hi Clandrel, Take a look here New M8 - Software problem.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted December 16, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 16, 2009 You need to download the latest version of capture 1 from their website. The version that ships with the M8 is incompatible with Snow Leopard.
Clandrel Posted December 16, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted December 16, 2009 Where can I find that? Searched the Leica site. Didn't find anything... Also, does anyone know where the camera file is to find when connected to my mac?
Photon42 Posted December 16, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 16, 2009 Leica Digital Capture does not work on the Mac. Forget it. There are other ways, if you really need this. PhaseOne provides an archive for older software here: C1 Archive You should be able to download 4.8.3, which works fine with Leopard. If you have problems with a certain software, it helps if you state the version number of the respective software (as well as the operating system's version). bill_murray Posted December 16, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 16, 2009 You should be able to use the Image Capture application that ships as a utility with Macs - it'll find the camera when connected via USB and you can choose which files to dload to a folder of your choosing. archi4 Posted December 16, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Either use a card reader which will show the card, or if you want to use a usb cable connection use the image capture program which you will find under applications. maurice

Buy a card reader. Faster and more reliable than a direct connection. You can copy the files your desired location and then edit in Photoshop.
