Bo_Lorentzen Posted December 16, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hmmm. was just browsing past some of the rumor sites.. I love my E3's and think micro 43 is a interesting development.. Here is one of the days scoops, a rumored panasonic four-thirds (not micro) DLSR. interesting foot note is that it is possible to reconfigure the frameline for composing 4:3 9:16 AND 3:2 its just a footnote.. I still believe that if there is a deliberate R "solution" - in my belief it would probably involve Panasonic. the Second funny thing is that the patent notes don't particularly mention 4:3 system, just the crop ratios. in other words, the camera could be real, could be full-frame and could be a 4:3 ratio camera with the option of cropping 3:2 - the 4:3 crop could use more of the height of a R lens image circle and be VERY effective.! The lenses could be licensed R glass. with IS. and could fit current R with a adapter. Well, enough fantasizing for tonight, real for yourself and maybe I just missed something. But Im not entirely sure this rumor really belongs in the 43 bucket. (FT4) Panasonic could unveil a new FourThirds camera in 2010 (in January?). . ryee3 Posted December 16, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 16, 2009 The drawings on the panasonic site of this camera body has some similarities to the Digilux 3.
Bo_Lorentzen Posted December 16, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted December 16, 2009 Well, I would surely expect Panasonic to tread a path they are comfortable with.
