elansprint72 Posted December 14, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted December 14, 2009 Me Lunch at The Wheatsheaf, or Ma Boyles? That is remarkably remarkably kind of you. Maybe even Rolo will be tempted to venture down river, now that the food and drink is on you ? Dates? I'm glad you asked..... looks like I'm already booked (in Liverpool, on a photo job:o) on the 28th, rest of that week is free.

andybarton Posted December 18, 2009 Share #10 Posted December 18, 2009 I will try to find out if Ma Boyles is open that week. If it is, it's a "must do" for the scouse and red cabbage. Edit: It is.

stunsworth Posted December 18, 2009 Share #12 Posted December 18, 2009 it's a "must do" for the scouse and red cabbage That's just another name for a meat and potato pie without a crust isn't it? Over in my neck of the woods we call it lobby. Don't be tempted to park in the new underground car park near the Albert Dock. Some friends parked there a month or two ago and it cost them £10 for a not over long stay.
andybarton Posted December 18, 2009 Share #13 Posted December 18, 2009 It's about £2 per hour in Liverpool One's car park, which is a standard price for the better car parks in Liverpool. It IS an award winning car park Probably cheaper in the Echo Arena car park, or you can park off Leeds Street, round the back of the Merc dealer for about £4 a day. If you dare. I might get the bus. That would be novel.

elansprint72 Posted December 18, 2009 Author Share #16 Posted December 18, 2009 I intended to type Liverpool meat? When I were a lad we was proper poor. Some days we had blind lobbys, which was a pan of lobscows without the meat. I suppose the scousers will be claiming that they invented this wonderfully tasty, yet simple dish.
