jsrockit Posted December 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know I can't expect metering, but there is no harm in using any old flash on the Leica M8 right?
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Hi jsrockit, Take a look here Can I use any old flash on the M8?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Nicoleica Posted December 14, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2009 Provided they have an auto and/or manual mode, they should function OK. It's worth checking the trigger voltage if you are planning on using an old flash gun though, as some can exceed the M8's safety range. Use a safeSync (or equivalent.) if in doubt. Happy Flashing! wda Posted December 14, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 14, 2009 I keep meaning to try the 24's predecessor (the 20) but, in practice, I tend not to use flash with my M's. I did use it with my CM.
