what di you use for your sd-cards?

 

for the cf cards I use a thinktank pocket rocket, which is brilliant, but too large for sd-cards

 

I own a gepe cards safe, which is nice, but still a bit too big.

 

I need space for 4 cards

Actually I just throw them into my little Billingham

i use the plastic holders they come in and i too just throw them in the billi..used cards go in the back zippered pocket so i don't format and re-use them:)

Well, yes, it is a good idea to keep them in their little antistatic boxes, and to separate used and unused. I have made it a habit to lock full cards as they come out of the camera.

Stephan, here are two quick pictures of mine. Unfortunately they bear no name but I think I bought them from 7DAYSHOP.COM. If you look at that site you will see a wide selection, some in aluminum cases; most are very cheap but functional. I find a case for four cards more than adequate for most jobs. On tour I keep more cards in their plastic cases and transfer the ones I need to this case. When used, I lock them and invert them for easy identification.

I bought a little card wallet from e-bay, holds about eight cards, fastens with velcro, cost 99 pence, including postage.

 

No doubt some Italian dude makes a leather "Leica" card wallet for about 100 euro.

now I remember, I bought one of those for CF cards from 7dayshop a couple of years ago. that was the cheapest place to buy film (remember film?) at the beginning of the millennium....

Think Tank makes a 'pee wee ppr' which is perfect for a few cards.

When I upload to the computerIalways leave them as is until I'm ready to use them again so that if Ilose images off the pc before I back up then I have the images still on the card. I format a card as I put it in the camera.

 

Sounds complicated but an easy workflow and the card safe really adds a level of security.

We follow a similar procedure except that I make a practice of backing up downloaded pictures to an external hard drive BEFORE I reformat my card in camera. I prefer to do this sooner rather than later because if a few days elapse, it is easy to forget which pictures are already within the computer system.
