Advertisement Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Hi minhhich, Take a look here M3 Chrome. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wizard Posted December 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 11, 2009 500 in this particular batch maybe, but the total number of M3's produced is more like 250000. Andy
luigi bertolotti Posted December 11, 2009 Share #3 Posted December 11, 2009 As far as I know, 998016 belongs to a batch of 300 M3 made by Leitz Canada in 1960... Canadian M3s are indeed less numerous than Wetzlar M3s, but are not to be considered a rarity; probably the mean prices in the collectible market are indeed someway higher, anyway. To be pedant on serial numbers, the 998.001 - 998.300 ought to be the "last batch before 1.000.000"... some collectors like this magic of numbers... time Posted January 12, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2010 I will rather get a late M3 (>10xxx) than a small production number prior 10xxx.
brianv Posted January 13, 2010 Share #5 Posted January 13, 2010 I had a very late 114xxxx M3 and one just under the 1M mark. Both user cosmetics, CLA'd and working perfectly. The feel and features of both were indistinguishable. I sold the 114x and kept the one under 1M after picking up an early M2.
