Advertisement Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Hi jc_braconi, Take a look here MA IV b. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
arkanda Posted December 17, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2009 I just have the 6-page catalogue/leaflet with pricelist from 1952. Interesting to know that Leitz really produced a 9x12/6,5x9 (with optional slr-unit) large format camera for this device! Of course intended just for microscope or macro photography. jc_braconi Posted December 17, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted December 17, 2009 Mathias thank you, can you see in the catalog if the shutters are Compur type and Leitz lens ?
arkanda Posted December 18, 2009 Share #4 Posted December 18, 2009 Mathias thank you,can you see in the catalog if the shutters are Compur type and Leitz lens ? The German text just notes about the shutter: "Zur Ausstattung gehören ... Zeit- und Momentverschluß mit Anschlußmöglichkeiten für einen Elektronenblitz und Drahtauslöser" which reads in English roughly like this: "the equipment includes ... shutter with speed and bulb settings and connections for electronic flash and cable release". IMHO its unlikely that this is a Compur shutter, because they would have mentioned it then, I think. As lenses you could use the usual Summar and Milar macro types. But there were also adapters for Photar lenses, GUIIT, and for standard LTM lenses, GSIIV. Regards Mathias

pierovitch Posted December 23, 2009 Share #6 Posted December 23, 2009 I have played with the 35mm version and used the summar and milar lenses on a later Aristophot. The Visoflex like reflex viewer had a clear screen for microscopy which could be rotated via the circular collar to a matte ground glass screen for macrography. Generally the operation was to set the magnification via the bellows length and use a focussing stage set up with lens matched condensors to give kohler illuminaton for transmitted light. Monla lamps were used for top illumination.
