LCD Protection

I would like to get something to protect the LCD screen on a new M9. Before I purchased something, I wanted to see what others are using with good experience. I was considering the Giottos Aegis, but the correct size seems to be on back order. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't want to steal anybody's thunder, but I got the idea of using iPhone screen protectors from either this or another Leica forum. Cut them down to size and they are superb. They are not the thin Fablon type of floppy plastic, but very clear polycarbonate sheet and are much clearer and nicer to look at than say the Zagg 'Invisible Shield' type of protector.

Let me recommend the Zagg brand InvisibleShield. These really stay on, don't need any residue, and come with a lifetime warranty. They come off perfectly, too, and don't leave any permanent damage.

Just buy the generic 2.5" InvisibleShield from Adorama. I think they have them for like US $7 or so. These are much better than the protectors that you have to replace from time to time. The InvisibleShield really lasts.

I gave up the 'screen protectors' long ago. The best protection is a Luigi Crescenzi half-case. It protects a lot more than the screen, too. An added bonus is that it keeps you from chimping all those times you don't need to do it -- which is most times.
