proenca Posted December 8, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there all, Did a 2008 trip around some places in Europe, namely Germany, Austria , Belgium, etc and had my moleskin with me ( and my wife ) Sadly, lost the moleskin ( but kept the wife ) and all the anotations that were with it - places names, street names, churches, etc. So I wanted to give her ( shes always talking with me about those pictures ) a Blurb book with those pictures and of course, want to put some coments what street / church / etc are in the pictures. Therefore, calling help from all M photographers to go on my flickr albums and identify what they can : if you recognize the street name on the picture, the church , garden, etc, please write it as a comment. So far, only two sets are only on my flickr page : Belgium and Berlin. Couple of more will be added on the next weekend and I will appreciate your help ! I will repost again on the weekend, Thanks in advance to all, Goncalo Proenca ps : photos arent finished, so not all of them are processed to their final version neither sensor dust spots are not removed, etc. BELGIUM pictures : BELGIUM - HELP NEEDED - a set on Flickr BERLIN pictures : BERLIN - HELP - a set on Flickr

2Bébèrt Posted December 8, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 8, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) btw, what is a moleskin? My dictionary says: 1-A short, silky fur of a mole 2-A moleskin is also a flesh coloured piece of adhesive cloth used in filmmaking to cover up genitals in order to maintain propriety in non-explicit nude scenes (i. e. ones where nudity is suggested but not shown). ljclark Posted December 13, 2009 Share #11 Posted December 13, 2009 moleskin is also the brand of journals Not true. MoleskinE is a brand of journals. The "E" makes the difference.

3rdtrick Posted December 16, 2009 Share #13 Posted December 16, 2009 Not true. MoleskinE is a brand of journals. The "E" makes the difference. He is right! Moleskine was the journal of choice for artists and intellectuals like Hemingway, Van Gogh, and Matisse, and ME. I use them to log the mileage in my truck when I get gas.. Good luck in finding yours Goncalo. Did you put your name and address in the front? Maybe some nice person will return it to you. Pete
erl Posted December 16, 2009 Share #14 Posted December 16, 2009 Proenca, in my country, Moleskins are a type trouser often worn by farmers when 'dressing up a bit' in a country sorrt of style. Also used when riding horses sometimes. I hope you didn't lose your trousers!

danyves Posted December 16, 2009 Share #16 Posted December 16, 2009 Moleskine: the journal you buy to postpone the acceptance of the fact that you will never, never be another Hemingway... Especially since the Hemingway's Moleskine is pure marketing invention As Matisse and Van Gogh.
