I think that the effect of your shot is rather spoiled by the bits of palm tree at the top left - I'd have digitised them out in PhotoShop, or whatever image manipulation software you are using. I took a look at how the photo would look with the top trimmed, but then I was wondering if I would have to explain the shadow from the tree or not. Maybe not, I gather.
