Traditional houses, Bergen Norway

I sort of like the graphics of those houses. It is a popular living area, seen to be the authentic Bergen by those living there. The houses are modernized, but date several hundred years back.

Picture taken with handheld R9 DMR.

Thanks for looking - comments welcome of course.

Hi Willie,

These are interesting houses. We have some new neighbors from Norway (they are with the embassy in Washington), and they gave me a book about Norway which makes me want to go visit - in the summer, of course.

Hi-Nice tone and texture. This is one of my favorite little towns that I've visited recently. Did you find the little Leica shop?-I think it was on or near the street in your photograph. I was standing outside this shop with my m6 around my neck, the shop was closed but the proprietor saw me and invited me in for a nice Leica discussion, lovely place Bergen....

Thank you all for looking.

To those knowing Bergen: you may be as surpriced as we are that temperatures are still up to 5-10C (but rain is pouring continuously). We have not seen any snow this year at all.

The lens is indeed Vario: 28 - 90. I like it a lot for all-round photography.

The Leica-store is still with us and expanding. Some of the people working there are actually trained studio photographers, and are genuinly interested in the what we are doing. Stephanie's experience does not surprise me at all. I have enclosed the original color version of the shot. It may interest some to see how desaturation works in this kind of motive.

Cheers

Willy
