SJP Posted December 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 4, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Japanese garden, Clingendael, The Hague is only open for 2-3 weeks per year and is worth a visit. This was the last day it was open to the public so it got a bit crowded (October 25th 2009). M8 summicron 28/2 ASPH

SJP Posted December 5, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted December 5, 2009 Some variants slightly brighter, different color balance settings, which do you prefer? (1) camera whitebalance (2) whitebalanced on door of the pagoda (3) daylight (C1 standard) Personally I prefer the standard daylight version, no.3 (check color of grass for instance)

geaibleu Posted December 6, 2009 Share #8 Posted December 6, 2009 Number 2 is closest to reality as autumn days tend to have a warmer tone. Number 3 is thus a wee bit on the artificial side of things, if one wishes to depict reality. Yet the question remains: what should we see? a documentary or a beautiful image?
