nrj Posted December 2, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2006 I bought one several months ago in 'like new' condition. I use it with a Mac and OS4. I downloaded the latest software from the minolta site when I installed it - no problem. I think the scanner software has a good interface but I haven't compared it with other software so can't comment about whether you'd get better scans with Silverfast or Vuescan. The scanner is nice to use, although a bit slow, and produces very good scans. You get a glass and glassless carrier for medium format and strip film and mounted slide holders for 35mm. I mainly use the glassless for 6x6 and 6x7 scans although there is probably some benfit to the glass carrier in terms of ultimate focus across the image. There's a website with tips and add-ons (scanhancer) and a yahoo groups to help with scanning issues etc. Nik Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
