andcolor Posted December 2, 2009 Author Share #24 Posted December 2, 2009 Hmmm. Don't think that 4x5 would fit in my camera bag, but it's a beauty. Is the marine photo made w. it? Gorgeous. Not many canon users here it seems. L

kalina Posted December 2, 2009 Share #27 Posted December 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Curious what M8 people use in addition too the M8? Why and how? Thanks, A Nikon D300 and a Leica D-Lux 4. I started with Nikon and Canon DSLRs and just love their speed and versatility. I like the D-Lux 4 as a carry-around camera. Arif Posted December 2, 2009 Share #29 Posted December 2, 2009 Reading these answers leads me to believe I need professional help. In addition to the M8.2, I have a III-c, M6, M7 (2), Ricoh GRD-II, Nikon D3 and D3x and I use them all depending on my mood/event but probably the D3 gets used the most for sports/high ISO photography. Just finished a three month round the world trip and used the D3 almost 2:1 with the M8.2. Best regards, Arif
Printmaker Posted December 2, 2009 Share #30 Posted December 2, 2009 Hmmm. Don't think that 4x5 would fit in my camera bag, but it's a beauty. Is the marine photo made w. it? Gorgeous. Not many canon users here it seems. L The Linhof with 3 lenses and 12 holders fits in a small backpack. But the scanback requires a computer. I tried taking it in the field once or twice but its a bit much... I think the Na Pali shot was the D2x though I had a Fuji S2 as a backup body in the bag. Blue Dolphin is one of the charter company that I shoot, design and print for. I go out three or four times a year to get new shots for ads and posters. Since the humpback whales are starting to arrive, I'll probably go out again in a few weeks. This time of year is a crap shoot though since we often get the big surf and the whales at the same time. Makes for a bumpy ride. Thanks Tom
bobdubois Posted December 2, 2009 Share #31 Posted December 2, 2009 Another M8. Also, a Nikon D 700 for tele and macro, a Nikon D 200 because I didn't sell it quickly enough, a housed Nikon D 70 for underwater shots, a Canon G7 in my ski jacket pocket all the time, a dual stroke M3 with a dual range Summicron for the pure joy of it, a Nikon FTn which I've owned for more than 40 years and a Crown Graphic to indulge my rare impulse to see really big chromes. tbarker13 Posted December 2, 2009 Share #32 Posted December 2, 2009 Nikon D300. I much prefer it when I'm doing anything telephoto. And I love the 85/1.4 by Nikon for portraits.
rjrose Posted December 2, 2009 Share #33 Posted December 2, 2009 D700 for telephoto and low light; stock photos. M7 for nostalgia. Toyo 45 for when I retire. Bob Rose

dpstjp Posted December 2, 2009 Share #37 Posted December 2, 2009 Hasselblad 500cm. Saving up for a digital back for it. Once I can afford that I see no reason to trade up to an M9, to be honest.
