earleygallery Posted December 2, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) .....but it pours! I am shooting a wedding tomorrow, put a new battery in the Bronica - which I haven't used for a while - but the shutter is erratic. Every few shots it seems to fire at a much slower speed, ie set at 1/500 it shoots fine for a few then suddenly it will be more like 1/30. If anyone knows of problems with the ETR in this respect I'd be very interested. Anyway it means I shall use the Leica R instead. However my 35mm Summicron has sticky aperture blades!! So it will be the 50 & 90, and a Tamron 28mm if I have to use it for interior group shots - it might be raining tomorrow! I might also take the lllf with some B&W loaded in it. I'm a bit nervous now as I've always used the Bronny for weddings.

Guest stnami Posted December 2, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 2, 2006 ... no sympathy in regards to the rain we are in a very extended drought here with 98% of the state drought declared, some ares are now in year nine without a decent drop ... could be worse... a gothic wedding, black, purple, magenta and all that satin with only a M8 and no filters.... and the bride in white just for the balancing act
earleygallery Posted December 2, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted December 2, 2006 Robert, I did think about the battery but it works fine in another camera. Sadly I think its the shutter. I have just bought a very nice 2.8 Elmar and have a Red Scale on its way from Germany. Too many of the 'same' lens I think! I'll try them out and maybe sell the ones I don't want, but more likely I'll end up keeping them all. Off to the wedding now - at least its not raining!
