stunsworth Posted December 1, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Testreports Erwin's sold his Canon 5D and loves the M8. The comparison shots between the M8 and Porta 160 are interesting.

scott kirkpatrick Posted December 1, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 1, 2006 It is fun to read his reviews. I noticed that we will be amazed with his upcoming discoveries about Zeiss lenses, but that he hasn't yet discovered anything to tell us about Voigtlaender. scott
stunsworth Posted December 1, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted December 1, 2006 Scott, I'm assuming that that's because the Voigtlander lenses wider than 28mm are slower than either the Leica or the Zeiss alternatives. Personally as someone with an M8 on order and CV 21mm and 25mm lenses available I'm interested in the Zeiss alternatives. Especially if Zeiss/CV sort out the mount on the 25mm. Hi Steve, See the "proof of concept" thread, it should be interesting for you. What I like about the 25 is that it doesn't block the finder view (24 mm frame lines) unlike the larger lenses. Cheers, Sean
Jean LeBlanc Posted December 2, 2006 Share #6 Posted December 2, 2006 It also doesn't hurt that it's razor sharp, dirt cheap, and should last a lifetime if you don't play football with it.
