Finnkare Posted November 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Do you know if it's possible to get a new metering cell for the M5? From Sherry? From Europe? Mine is not completely busted, but seems to be accurate only in big to medium EV figures. I searched the forums but could only find info about the CL. I also heared of a problem only found in the M5; some part of the shutter brake (or something) can get broken during time and come off quite viciously, hitting some other part snapping it right off with it. It is supposed to be a serious problem, maybe inrepairable even. Anybody else heard of such an inbuilt self-destruct device ?

rsh Posted November 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 28, 2009 Send your M5 To Sherry. She will make it right.
Finnkare Posted November 28, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted November 28, 2009 Yeah, I think I will, when I get completely bored with the meter and possibly the lubrication (in the winter). For now I'll try to cope with the current servicing so I don't have to send it right away...
mbf4755 Posted November 30, 2009 Share #4 Posted November 30, 2009 Sherry gave my M5 an overhaul including a new metering cell last year. Works like a charm. Matt
Finnkare Posted December 1, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted December 1, 2009 Sherry gave my M5 an overhaul including a new metering cell last year. Works like a charm. That sounds great. I wonder where she has got the cells? My local shop said that they have them, but they have lost their "power" during the years sitting on the shelf...
