ECliffordSmith Posted December 1, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All, I made an all to rare return to England last weekend. Here are a few pictures. I was surprised to see so many leaves still on the trees. Thanks for taking the time and trouble look. Advertisement Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Hi ECliffordSmith, Take a look here Danbury And Maldon. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gareth_c Posted December 1, 2006 Share #2 Posted December 1, 2006 Ed, what camera & lens did you use for these? They seem soft, especially 2 & 3.
ECliffordSmith Posted December 1, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted December 1, 2006 Gareth, Thanks for the response. They were taken with a DLUX-2. I think I have 'butchered' them a little whilst downsizing them and didnt notice but I can see what you mean. I will check the originals.
samwells Posted December 1, 2006 Share #4 Posted December 1, 2006 Hi Ed - hope you don't mind me saying this, but I rather like the 'butchered' effect on the second one...looks to me like a typical English watercolour from an art calendar, if you see what I mean. cheers: Sam
ECliffordSmith Posted December 6, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted December 6, 2006 Hi Sam, I am glad you liked it! I am certainly messing up my photos when I try and resize them for this site though. With a little luck I will get some time this weekend to experiment with different ratios and sizes as clearly many people are managing to post very nice images without the 'butchered' effect!.
