Fundamentally however, M8 has a shallower DoF when compared to a FF camera, provided you keep all the rest the same: same lenses, same aperture, same distance to subject. .. innerimager Posted November 29, 2009 Author Share #46 Â Posted November 29, 2009 Having now shot 3 events with the M9, I can say that it renders the most pleasing files of any camera I have ever used. It's a joy to shoot "in the field", focusing is no problem at all, and the IQ is stunning. Having 18 MP is also very handy, allowing for cropping as desired with more than enough pixels left for printing, especially at "event" sizes. Great camera. best...Peter

I've been trying to do it with my old faber slide rule, but, quite inexcusably it doesn't seem to have a COC function.
innerimager Posted November 29, 2009 Author Share #48 Â Posted November 29, 2009 I don't understand Jono. Doesn't your M9 have the built in slide ruler and auto COC calculator like mine does? Oh, that's right- you're still using that pre-production model! ;>) best...Peter
