Above quoted sentence is fundamentally wrong. Please read Jaap's posting. Jaap made it clear in short and simple words. Is this subject really that difficult'?

Having now shot 3 events with the M9, I can say that it renders the most pleasing files of any camera I have ever used. It's a joy to shoot "in the field", focusing is no problem at all, and the IQ is stunning. Having 18 MP is also very handy, allowing for cropping as desired with more than enough pixels left for printing, especially at "event" sizes. Great camera. best...Peter

Hi Peter

But don't you find that calculating the DOF accurately before you shoot rather spoils the fun. I've been trying to do it with my old faber slide rule, but, quite inexcusably it doesn't seem to have a COC function. :confused:
