hawkeye_a Posted December 1, 2006 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Please excuse this rather noob question, but just thought id ask it anyway. So i turned the shutter sound effect off and the beep sound effect off. But when i take a picture with the D-Lux 3, i hear two clicks before the camera is ready to take the next picture. is this normal ? Cheers

ECliffordSmith Posted December 1, 2006 Share #3 Posted December 1, 2006 How loud are these 'clicks'? Are they consistent? I have the D-LUX 2 and keep the shutter and beep sounds off and you can hear the shutter mechanism (two phases) still if you are in a very queit place. I suspect this is what you are hearing and that the situation is normal. I hope so for your sake anyway.
hawkeye_a Posted December 1, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted December 1, 2006 very quiet clicks.... kinda like tapping your fingernail on a desk, turned down a few dBs. it's 2 consecutive *clicks*. i just never noticed them before, and sorta started hearing them when i turned the shutter and beep sounds off. ECliffordSmith Posted December 1, 2006 Share #5 Posted December 1, 2006 This is consistent with what I get and I suggest completely normal. I first noticed it when I was messing around with the burst mode.
