Received my upgraded M7 with the optical DX reader from Solms today and now, besides ISO 200, all values are being doubled in the display (ie. 160=>320, 400=800 and so forth). I read about several issues with the DX reader but never saw something like that. Anyone?

...have you got any exposure compensation dialled in?

no; double checked and rotated the dial a couple of times. i suppose one sensor of the reader might be defunct, which could be exactly the one you don't need for the 200 setting as this is the only correct one.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Can I ask a tangential question, which is how do you clean the DX sensors and where are they? I only ask because the DX sensor in my M7 sometimes appears to read the film speed.

I go over my optic DX sensors with a dry Q-tip every once and a while to

clear any dust that may collect, but they always look pretty clean beforehand.

I noticed Where the film plate meets the body there are three flat copper terminals.

On the film plate itself there are three male terminals that are spring loaded.

On my M7 those terminals on the body are pretty well dented in (I'm assuming yours too), so Im thinking if one or more of the terminals on your film plate looses some of it's

spring combined with dent in the terminal on the body may cause intermittence.

Just a thought. good luck.;)
