Advertisement Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Hi johnkuo, Take a look here Pub. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted November 30, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 30, 2006 John - Rather powerful -- imposing -- due to the details, texture, tones and confining walls. Well done. I assume this is an alleyway between some chi chi stores or restaurants.
johnkuo Posted November 30, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted November 30, 2006 Thanks Stuart. You are right, it is between some shops.
wda Posted November 30, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 30, 2006 The location is in stark contrast to the village pubs in my locality! A graphic image, though. David
Guest lykoudos Posted November 30, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 30, 2006 Hello John, Me very sympatische and also photo-technicalally perfect admission. I personally love these close house ravines with its dark angles. Impressing also the lighting. All this works only in s/w so tendencyful. Multicolored against it proper palely would work. azzo Posted November 30, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 30, 2006 This is a powerful image John. If i were you, i'd do it again without the car. I'm saying this only because i like it so much. Best Azzo
ijporter Posted December 1, 2006 Share #7 Posted December 1, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think this is a great image because it gives me the creeps! Although the white car is a distraction (can you get rid of it or replace it with a more menacing vehicle?) the thought of walking down this alley at night does not fill me with hope and joy! If that's the impression you wanted to convey, you've done it very well! With best wishes, Ian
johnkuo Posted December 1, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted December 1, 2006 Thanks again for your comments. Not much I can do about the car unless I revisit, and I might. The contrast and texture combined with the perspective do make this a dramatic scene, and make you wonder how it looks at night.
PhotoArchival Posted December 1, 2006 Share #9 Posted December 1, 2006 Very dramatic indeed with the composition and texture of the buildings leading to the pub. Wonder how it would look at night? Amado
