The Brits obviously appreciated it (even before television), because long ago, the cult of Mr Ed had caused these Ed-ifices to be carved out of the landscape for our Ed-ucation, Ed-ification. This one is near Westbury Wilbur and the local folk were in the middle of a Mr Ed look-alike competition, which was won by this horse - named Elvis (Ed had left the stable) - whose prize was a week posing in front of his hero's image. Second prize was two weeks' posing, third prize was for a month. I jest, of course, although in some parts of England ...
