If anyone with an M9 and a new f0.95 Noctilux lives in the Washington DC area, could they please pop along to the national cathedral and take the same gate photo. My guess is that due to the reduced coma in the new Nocti, we will not get the delightfully dreamy OOF that the old Nocti gives. The results from the Nokton are impressive in John's hands. However having seen some photos of the state in which some of these Noktons arrived from the factory, it is evident to me that Voigtlander are still suffering serious QC problems.

Wilson - I haven't found any backfocus issues, though to be honest, I'm only shooting it wide open. It focus easily, and the focusing is accurate. Like the (original) Nocti, however, it's pretty soft; glad I have the Summilux for most things.

For the money I'd go 1.1

However I tested a friend's Nokton and found it was back focusing. If I focused on someone's nose, I got their eyes in focus. However with RF I can focus better on eyes than a nose, but then I got the ears in focus. As someone said, QC issues, and I told my friend to check it carefully herself on her new M9. However, if the focus was right on, I could get a 21 1.4 and a Nokton for the price of a Noctilux.
