leicaleica Posted December 1, 2006 Share #21 Posted December 1, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) That was a demo camera with 1.10 shown by a Leica rep in Munich. I saw it too-- streaking fixed, had a B+W 486 IR cut filter on the lens-- no magenta showing on black fabrics.

4season Posted December 1, 2006 Share #23 Posted December 1, 2006 I just got off the phone with Cathy at S&S Optika in Englewood, Colorado (Leica Day 1 and 2 Dec) and the word as conveyed from our regional Leica rep is "soon". Sounds like the cameras are in US Customs, or will be by next week. I think the exact words were "Should have the custom forms by next week". If this sounds like an indirect (or cautious) answer, it's probably because we've teased our Leica rep in the past when the DMR wound up getting delayed by several months. Looks like Leica has done a vastly better job at shipping the goods on schedule this time around.
scott kirkpatrick Posted December 2, 2006 Share #24 Posted December 2, 2006 Mine is 1.06 and because the coding info is in there for the cyan cast i think Guy, Sean Reid's tests are with 1.06 and when you look at his comparison of the red vignetting with and without lens detection enabled, it seems that the firmware takes out about half of the losses in the red. This is on the 28mm lenses. We'll know soon whether 1.10 does more, and how well the Leica firmware handles Zeiss and CV lenses. scott
