rondeb Posted November 29, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've ordered an M8 via amazon and the order says Dec. 5th is the "release date". It also says delivery is confirmed before Dec. 22nd. I spoke with Tamarkin today and they have no idea when they'll be getting the new ones and they probably won't have the update models for their event on Thursday. Anyone else here any news on this? herbkell Posted November 29, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 29, 2006 Congrats to all of you who will be getting your M8's soon, My slow simmer is rapidly moving to boil however thinking that your folks are getting "updated" cameras and us poor slobs who have had $5K less in our bank accounts for some time now are on the slow boat to China for repairs at Solms. I cannot imagine a worse way of treating your avid keen customers who were loyal (dumb) enough to be the first buyers of this camera. Is anyone at Leica USA awake and listening???? I certainly have but I have no idea where I would be on the waiting list. Unless Leica do the right thing (swap) it's going to be a long wait with either choice.
